Terms of Use and Software License

When you purchase Photo Housekeeper, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on up to two Macs for your own use.

The license is a one-time purchase for the version purchased and does not expire. Future major versions may be offered separately.

You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, reverse engineer, modify, or make the software available to others except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise.

Photo Housekeeper may offer a one-time Free Preview limited to photographs from the most recent six months. Once started, the Free Preview may remain available for a limited evaluation period and cannot be restarted after it expires. The Free Preview is provided solely so that a prospective purchaser can evaluate the software before purchasing a license.

Photo Housekeeper is a tool to assist you in reviewing and managing photographs. It never automatically deletes photographs.

You are solely responsible for deciding which photographs or RAW originals to delete. We strongly recommend maintaining a current backup of important photographs and verifying that backup before permanently deleting original files.

Deleting an entire Photo Housekeeper album in Apple Photos does not delete the photographs contained in that album. Actual deletion of photographs is performed through Apple Photos and is controlled by the user.

Photo Housekeeper creates JPEG copies using the settings selected by the user. File-size limits are maximum sizes, not target sizes, and actual JPEG sizes will vary depending on image content, resolution, cropping, and other factors.

Reported storage savings are estimates based on the files processed. Actual storage recovered may vary.

Similarity detection is intended to identify photographs that may be useful to review together. Results are based on automated visual analysis and may occasionally include photographs that a user does not consider similar, or may fail to identify photographs that a user considers similar.

The user always makes the final decision about what to keep or delete.

Purchases, payment processing, tax handling, and license issuance may be provided by a third-party merchant-of-record and licensing provider.

Photo Housekeeper does not receive or store customers' full credit-card details.

Refunds and statutory cancellation rights are subject to applicable law and the policies presented at checkout by the merchant-of-record.

We may provide bug fixes, improvements, security updates, and other updates from time to time. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain unchanged indefinitely.

Photo Housekeeper is designed for supported versions of macOS and Apple Photos. Changes made by Apple to macOS, Photos, iCloud, or related frameworks may affect compatibility.

Photo Housekeeper is provided on an "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, no guarantee is made that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Photo Housekeeper and its owner will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the software.

Because Photo Housekeeper assists users with valuable personal photographs, users should maintain backups and carefully review photographs before permanently deleting originals.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Photo Housekeeper™, its software, website content, graphics, and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

PHOTO HOUSEKEEPER is the subject of a pending United States trademark application.

Use of Photo Housekeeper is also subject to the Privacy Policy published on photohousekeeper.com.
